1. PICLE is the Polish sub-corpus of the International Corpus of Learner English (ICLE).

2. Currently (as of March 2002), PICLE contains about 330,000 words of running text (over 500 essays), all available in electronic form.

3. Comprehensive stats for PICLE.

4. The PICLE corpus can be searched online here.

5. Simple word queries on the PICLE corpus can also be run from ZAJęK (DCAEL) page.

6. A major part of PICLE (c. 230,000 words) has been published on the ICLE CD ROM, together with a number of comparable English learner corpora collected in other EFL countries.

7. 62,601 words (100 essays) is stored electronically on the Local Area Network at the School of English, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, and can be concordanced e.g. with a freeware Concordancer for Windows.

8. View a raw-text sample of PICLE and its POS-tagged version.

9. PICLE-based publications.

10. I'd like to thank the institutions which have supplied corpus data. Thanks are especially due to Dr Małgorzata Nitka of Sosnowiec University, as well as to the volunteers at Cracow University, Lublin University, and Gniezno English Language Teachers' College.
